Medical Couriers - Time-Sensitive Specialists.
Our Medical couriers are certified, highly trained, dependable and efficient, but what sets our medical couriers apart is an acute understanding and extreme sensitivity to the critical nature of medical transport.
Our medical couriers are highly specialized in the retrieval of bio-medical specimens from hospitals, clinics and doctor’s offices on both a STAT and routed basis. They are specifically trained in the handling of ambient, refrigerated and frozen bio-medical specimens for transport.
24 hours a day - 7 days a week these specialized couriers are transporting blood product from the nation’s leading blood collection facilities to hospitals through out New England. Miller’s Express has consistently provided for the reliable, efficient and secure transport of blood product over the past 17 years. Miller’s Express has been entrusted with the responsibility of providing for the transport of aggregate of sample of individual blood donations, which represent the majority of the Northeast blood supply, to a national testing laboratory, on a daily basis.
Miller’s Express provides route design and implementation for many hospitals, large and small alike. Our medical couriers provide efficient and safe transport from doctor’s offices and clinics to hospital laboratories.
Miller’s Express provides for specialized couriers, specifically trained to transport and reassemble trays of surgical instruments for orthopaedic surgeries taking place in hospitals throughout New England on both a STAT and scheduled basis.
Our medical couriers receive the proper training necessary to provide transportation of diagnostic specimens and/or other bio-hazardous product. Miller’s Express Policy Manual For Couriers covers the pertinent aspect of training necessary to comply with US DOT and OSHA regulatory requirements such as the OSHA Blood Borne Pathogen regulation (29 CFR 1910.1030). Our medical couriers attend yearly training and receive a certification in the proper handling of blood-borne pathogens.

Our medical couriers are trained to be familiar with the privacy requirements of HIPAA, and have an understanding of what protected health information (PHI) means, and what we can do to help ensure that we keep PHI private.
Office personnel are instructed to help ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of electronic protected health information (ePHI) that they may create, obtain, maintain, use or disclose.
Miller’s Express is hard at work addressing and implementing the requirements of the HIPAA Security regulations. While certain technology solutions are key in maintaining the security of PHI , much of the risk of inappropriate disclosure of PHI relates to how employees and contractors use and maintain PHI. Keeping PHI physically secure is everyone’s responsibility.
